Lauren Kaufman grew up in Pipestone, Minnesota. She received her undergraduate degree from Augustana College and her law degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law, where she graduated with High Honors. After law school, she clerked for the Third Judicial Circuit of South Dakota before joining the Minnehaha County Public Defender’s Office as a Deputy Public Defender. She then moved to Texas, working as an Assistant Public Defender at the Bexar County Public Defender’s Office in San Antonio, Texas. Most recently, she worked as the Staff Attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union of Nevada in Las Vegas.
Lauren is an experienced attorney committed to empowering physicians through their employment agreements. She has been a licensed attorney for 10+ years, has reviewed thousands of physician contracts, and has negotiated with major health systems, private practices, and academic centers.
